HELPING KIDS CRACK THE READING CODE
Orton-Gillingham is an individualized approach that helps students develop reading and phonics skills while building confidence in reading and writing.
Rather than using a one-size-fits-all method, each session is customized to the student’s needs, current skills, personality, and interests.
Your child will progress at their own pace to ensure skills are mastered.

Individualized Tutoring
One-on-one Orton-Gillingham tutoring provides highly individualized, structured literacy instruction tailored to your child’s unique learning profile. Sessions are designed for students with reading and spelling difficulties, including those with dyslexia or who are not making expected progress with traditional instruction.
Tutoring is available in person and online Monday through Thursday, with scheduling available across multiple time zones.
All sessions are conducted one-on-one and take place in a quiet, distraction-free office setting or live via Zoom. Sessions are typically scheduled weekly or more frequently, depending on your child’s needs, goals, and recommended intensity of support.
Each student begins with a comprehensive initial assessment used to develop a personalized learning plan with targeted goals and measurable benchmarks. Instruction is explicit, systematic, and multisensory, building skills in phonological awareness, decoding, spelling, fluency, and written language while also strengthening confidence.
To ensure steady progress and mastery, mid-point and end-of-level assessments are conducted throughout the course of instruction. Ongoing communication keeps families informed of growth, next steps, and recommendations.
This service is ideal for families seeking specialized, evidence-based reading intervention delivered in a supportive, individualized setting.

Comprehensive Literacy Assessment
The comprehensive initial assessment provides a detailed picture of your child’s reading and writing skills so instruction can be targeted and effective. It evaluates key areas such as phonological awareness, decoding, spelling, fluency, and written expression, while identifying the underlying patterns that may be impacting progress.
You will receive a clear, parent-friendly written report outlining your child’s strengths, areas of need, and recommended instructional priorities, along with baseline data to measure growth over time.
This assessment may be completed as a stand-alone service or used to guide individualized instruction through Firefly Reading Intervention.
The report can be shared with your child’s teacher or school support team and may be helpful in guiding classroom supports, intervention planning, or IEP development.
The goal of the assessment is not just to identify challenges, but to provide a practical roadmap for meaningful progress and increased confidence in reading and writing.
